Fursan Al Sena’a, or the Knights of Industry program was born from the vision of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to encourage the production sectors headed by the local industrial sector for its core importance in contributing to the economic diversification and security of the country.
The program is a result of KIU’s devoting efforts to instill the importance of industry in youngsters aged between 12 and 17. It aims to familiarize Kuwait youngsters with the history of Kuwait’s industry and its current role in the prosperity of the national economy. Additionally, the program teaches them about the different lines of production that form the end product and introduce them to the future of employment and internship opportunities available in the industrial market.
Every year, Fursan Al Sena’a is organized by KIU during the summer and spring breaks through a 10 days structured program that includes field trips, workshops and training sessions. In cooperation with LOYAC, KIU brings together 20 to 25 students to attend the program. Since its launch in 2014, Around 203 male and female students from private and public schools benefitted by the program.
